Job description

Your Responsibilities:

As a Programme Manager at Talent Spaces & Upskill Me, you will play a vital role in supporting the Programmes Lead in the successful delivery of our flagship STEM programme, career events and employability programmes. We are looking to fill two roles one will have specific focus on leading on our social mobility Industry Societies programmes and one role will focus on our STEM events and programmes. As a small team we do however expect team members to work in collaboration across all our programmes and events.

Your focus will be on managing day-to-day programme activities, coordinating workshops and events, and providing direct support to participants. It will include everything from student recruitment & onboarding, liaising with clients & volunteers through to delivery and gaining feedback. Your role will contribute directly to the effective implementation of the programmes & events, ensuring the impact on the growth and development of young people from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

Programme Delivery:

  • Recruiting & onboarding and screening students to our programmes & events
  • Co-ordinate and oversee the delivery of employability programmes & events, ensuring they align with programme schedules and objectives.
  • Facilitate and lead workshop sessions, events, and mentoring activities for participants, creating a positive and engaging environment.
  • Prepared for occasional travel within the South, Midlands and North of England during programme delivery periods (expenses paid)
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to participants (students, clients, and volunteers) addressing their needs and challenges during the programme.
  • Ensuring supporting materials, content and slides are up to date with support from the Programmes lead and Marketing executive.

Impact Reporting:

  • Drive, gather & collate data for impact reports, ensuring relevant evaluations are completed pre and post programme/event and providing relevant information to support programme evaluation.
  • Collaborating with the Programme Lead to analyse results and identify areas for improvement and supporting in creating impact summaries for clients.

Participant Engagement:

  • Cultivate positive relationships with programme participants, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Respond to participant inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of participant satisfaction.
  • Classroom management.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including schools and external partners, and our clients to ensure smooth programme delivery.
  • Ensure clear and timely communications with clients to ensure they are supported throughout the programme and ensuring smooth programme delivery.
  • Support the Account manager in maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Liaise with external venues to ensure adequate provisions for engaging and successful events/programmes.

About You:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following experience and attributes:

  • Prior experience in coordinating & facilitating programme delivery or similar responsibilities.
  • Basic understanding of programme management principles and impact reporting.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, good attention to detail.
  • Strong facilitation, classroom management and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, taking the lead in ensuring communications with all parties are clear and any actions or next steps are succinctly outlined.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to engage participants and build rapport.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and follow guidance from senior colleagues.
  • Passionate about making a positive impact on the personal and professional growth of young people.
  • Proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving, ability to be agile and adapt to change whilst working at pace.

Key Results/Objectives:

  • Successfully coordinate the day-to-day delivery of our employability programmes & events, with specific focus on our industry societies programme contributing to their overall impact and success.
  • Support in generating relevant data for impact reports, providing insights to enhance programme effectiveness.
  • Facilitate workshop sessions, events, and ensuring high-quality delivery and participant engagement.
  • Create a positive and inclusive environment for programme participants, addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, contributing to the seamless delivery of programmes through exceptional organisational skills.
  • Contribute to the achievement of Talent spaces & Upskill Me's programmes & employability initiatives, aligning with the organisation's mission and goals.
