Job description

Contract Type: Fixed-term until 31 July 2024 Working Pattern: Part time working 22.5 hours per week We are looking to appoint a Project Administrator to support a 6-month research council funded scoping project which will investigate the use of AI to enhance museum visitor experience, specifically in relation to biases in AI which stem from the colonial history of museum collections. You will work with the Project Lead, the broader research team (which will include 3 Co-Leads, a postdoctoral research associate and a research assistant) at the University of Sheffield and partner institutions, and liaise with relevant administrative units in the University of Sheffield, partner institutions, and the funder to ensure smooth administration of the project. Responsibilities will include: supporting the organisation of project meetings, workshops, and events, facilitation of travel, monitoring the project budget, supporting development of knowledge exchange/impact, supporting delivery of non-academic outputs. We are looking for someone with the following skills/experience: experience of administrative project management with multiple partners/stakeholders, experience in the organisation of events and workshops including travel/bookings, excellent organisation and time management skills, the ability to plan, assess, and organise resources to meet planned objectives, experience of maintaining financial records and budgets and supporting with financial reporting, effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels, excellent IT knowledge and skills.
