IOM UK has been present in Northern Ireland for just over a year, with activities focusing on counter-trafficking research, as well as resettlement assistance. A new project is due to commence in 2024, the Skills Training and Reintegration (STAR) project, which will provide weekly skills development training and personal support to potential male victims of human trafficking in Northern Ireland to support them on their journey to employment and integration.
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM), the direct supervision of the Project Associate and in close collaboration with the Head of the Protection Unit in IOM UK, the Project Assistant will assist in implementing, monitoring and reporting migrant protection projects in Northern Ireland.
