Job Overview:
Our client is looking to recruit Project Engineer who the main point of contact between their clients and production staff to ensure that the business can deliver excellent customer service to their clients.
Duties
Producing quotes in line with customer requests and data packs, which includes interpreting engineering drawings and BOMs.
Processing customer Purchase Orders in line with submitted quotes using our MRP system.
Producing documentation, including some engineering drawings, to support the Production and Quality departments.
Low level cable design work in line with customer specifications.
Liaising with customers and suppliers to ensure best fit material supply and “just in time” deliveries.
Control of documentation relating to engineering processes.
Implementation of change requests.
The Project Engineer will ideally have:
A good knowledge of Microsoft Office, an ability to demonstrate the use of formulas in Excel in order to properly analyse, interpret, and produce data.
A “process” mindset and the ability to work to department/company processes reliably.
Experience of working closely with customers and suppliers via phone and email, sometimes in person.
The ability to reliably manage multiple processes and projects at once, and to be able to identify priority processes.
Basic cost analysis, the ability to quickly find the best fit solution for a particular project.
The ability to convey information clearly and correctly and to liaise with other departments to ensure deadlines are met.
Experience in the interpretation of technical drawings and material data sheets
