We have an exciting opportunity for an Project Engineer to facilitate the growth and engagement at AMRC ( Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre)
What is AMRC?
AMRC is a collaborative community of industry, academics and students working together to drive growth in the manufacturing with key capabilities in Additive Manufacture, Automation & Robotics, Casting, Composite Manufacture, Design & Prototyping, Digital Manufacture, Manufacturing Intelligence, Structural and materials testing and subtractive manufacture.
Role:Project Engineer
Location: - B ased at Rotherham (around 4 miles south of Sheffield City Centre)
Salary: £44,990 - £58,000 (Dependent on experience)

Successful Candidates will be responsible for a variety of interesting activities, including co-ordination and management of:
- Developing manufacturing processes
- Developing digital opportunities
- Concept Development and testing
- Developing new technology adoption
- Material development & testing
- Advanced component manufacturing
- Early Careers, Graduate and Undergraduate placement opportunities
- Working within the AMRC technical / project domain
- Work will be focussed on the active projects and Core research programme activities undertaken at AMRC
- Staff will gain experience in managing the relationship with the catapult centres as a whole as well as specifically at AMRC
- Much of the experience gained through doing this work will have significant read across to our mission at AWE

What we would like candidates to have:
- A solid technical background in Science or Engineering
- Be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. Staff in these roles will be ambassadors for AWE, working alongside new recruits bringing our behaviours (embracing simplicity, safe and secure, connecting with respect and keeping our promises) to our new staff at AMRC
- Be able to team well with others, be approachable and supportive and look for opportunities to influence other parts of AWE to simplify our processes
- To working collaboratively with delivery partners to identify and implement opportunities for recognition both externally and across integrated project teams
- Be flexible as some UK travel is required for this role
- Be able to support all HVMCC / catapult activities, Annual/weekly meetings
- Supporting a culture of Innovation and Continuous Improvement from concept through to Adoption
- Lead & continue to nurture partnerships with HVMCC to advance new and emerging Technologies through R&D
An HNC or HND would be desirable but not essential.
Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the role and be willing and able to travel within the UK and overseas as required.
