Requirement: Project Engineer (OHL)

Package: £44k - £52,600 + Car / Car allowance + bens
Job duties
- Reporting to the Project/Site Manager (project dependent) on all day-to-day commercial and operational issues
- Responsible to Operations Manager on all commercial, operational, and technical delivery issues
- Ensure Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans and Quality Plans are in place for all operational sites and contribute to the development of policies and procedures as may be required
- Ensure all necessary documentation is in place, being complied with and regularly reviewed for all site-based activities e.g., method statements, work instructions, risk assessments, etc
- Support the Business Development and Bids teams with appropriate technical support at tender and proposal stages
- Ensure timely programming and change notifications are communicated to support other internal departments e.g., Plant & Transport, Procurement and Design
- Ensure technical support is provided to the Design department as and when required
- Contribute experience, knowledge and management support to the Supply Chain functions with respect to, but not restricted to, plant and equipment allocation and utilisation; procurement of PPE, plant and equipment; all transport and fleet issues relating to the Transmission Networks business.
- Principal contact for correspondence and meetings with third parties e.g., surveys, design, environmental consultants, utilities, services, etc.
- Work closely with the Head of Operations/Resource Managers to co-ordinate and allocate appropriate resource levels across projects to ensure efficient utilisation of the resource pool

- Ability to develop budgets and forecasts, plan and programme resources and activities and implement KPIs across numerous projects in order to deliver projects efficiently
- Ability to demonstrate effective prioritisation, time management and workload planning skills
- Be able to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of UK power transmission markets, clients, and regulatory bodies
- Be able to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of contract/project management within infrastructure construction and refurbishment projects.
