Project Executive
1-2 years’ experience
We’re seeking a proficient Project Executive to join our UK PM function. Having developed a new PM strategy for the business in 2023, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is eager to learn and develop their skills in our growing PM team.
The successful candidate(s) will be bright, creative, and organised. The role is an exciting opportunity to build experience and learn new skills. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years market research experience from a client facing agency, and feel ready to move into a varied role and acquire more responsibility.
What’s the job?
The day-to-day role will be based within a sector-specific group, working primarily on projects for clients in the Travel, Tourism, Attractions, Transport and Hospitality sector. However, the wider team role will allow you to help implement and embed PM processes and best practice across all parts of the business.
The work is varied, dynamic and challenging. All colleagues are expected to develop both qualitative and quantitative skills and be flexible enough to work on a mix of ad-hoc and continuous projects across online, CATI and F2F methodologies.
What you’ll do
- Proposal support: gathering costs, supporting the team on design and preparing a schedule, in collaboration with other team members/directors
- Take a supporting role in all aspects of project management throughout the project lifecycle
- Learn about revenue and costs, understanding how to keep them accurate and up to date
- Create and maintain project timelines and plans
- Coordinate roles and responsibilities on projects to ensure the right team balance
- Review the research team project inputs (q’re, report templates etc) with a focus on project efficiencies and quality
- Undertake quality processes from checking of scripts through to report production
- Support the delivery of projects on time, to scope and on budget
- Identify and implement project learnings, making recommendations for future efficiencies
- Share best practice in project management across the agency
- Develop relationships with supplier contacts, in collaboration with the wider project team
What you’ll bring
You must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Professional experience, ideally within a research agency, evidencing a strong understanding of the project lifecycle including project design & costing, development of fieldwork materials, management of fieldwork and analysis/reporting processes
- Outstanding project management, an ability to work to deadlines and juggle competing priorities
- An eye for detail and accuracy at all stages, but particularly when checking project materials e.g. survey programs / CATI scripts, data and reports
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and guide colleagues, clients, and suppliers
- Creative thinking and problem solving, capable of challenging the status quo and finding effective improvements
- Excellent, fluent, written and spoken English (fluency in other languages is a bonus but not a requirement)
- A high level of competence in working with both Excel and PowerPoint
Experience in the following would be viewed as a bonus rather than a requirement but, at a minimum, we are looking for someone who is willing to learn and undertake:
- Projects on behalf of a variety of clients in our key sectors
- A mix of both quantitative and qualitative research (though with an emphasis on quant initially)
- Implementation of best practice from professional PM accreditations such as PRINCE2 or Agile
What you’ll enjoy
- Competitive salary
- Discretionary year-end bonus
- Hybrid working, mixing home with our London offices in King’s Cross and Angel
- 26 days’ annual leave, increasing with service
- A variety of employee benefits
- Supportive and collaborative culture
- Comprehensive training programme
- Progression based on achievements, not time in role
- Monthly social events and regular CSR activities
