SalaryA vital Part-time Project Manager position is now available with Manchester City Council on an initial 8-month temporary contract. Hybrid working is available. 17.5 hours per week. In office working as required.
What is the role?
Manchester City Council are now looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to support the onboarding of a previously outsourced service back in-house.
In this role you will lead the project to insource the major adaptations function currently delivered by Lead Registered Providers with an expected completion in September 2024.
How can you help?
- Lead assessment of impacts to service around TUPE of existing staff, identifying any additional recruitment requirements, legal or commercial issues, any budgetary impacts.
- Assist with project planning and management, ensuring the Council meet the target deadlines.
- Ensure the Project Management of the Human Resources transition of existing external staff members, and merger with Council teams, runs smoothly.
What background do you need?
- A strong understanding of Project Management principles and, ideally, experience of supporting a HR Transition / TUPE process.
- Ability to provide advice and support to Council managers and stakeholders, advising on best practice when onboarding of external teams.
