Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Craigavon
Duration: Temporary position, 3 months initially with possibility of extension
Hours: Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm. 37 hours per week.
Salary: £15.63 per hour
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Project Manager who will assist the Senior Project Manager to manage and co-ordinate the regions planned maintenance programme, while also assisting the Senior Project Manager in the strategic delivery of an effective regional based planned and cyclical maintenance programme. You will also provide regular process reports on the performance of schemes to the Senior Project Manager as well as collating and reporting monthly performance monitoring statistics detailing performance, quality and cost data and other information required by the Senior Project Manager.
Duties include:
- ·To ensure the planned maintenance service is delivered in accordance with the client’s policies and procedures and develop these further with an on-going basis to ensure that legislation and good practice are met.
- ·To lead on project management of complex and large projects to time, quality and budget targets and with minimum supervision as well as authorising invoices for payment.
- ·Carrying out feasibilities and option appraisals and maintaining systems to monitor project costs as well as preparing reports and spreadsheets showing how costs are apportioned.
- ·Assessing risks and progressing schemes swiftly and systematically to overcome risks as well as preparing and writing reports on schemes for internal approval panels.
- ·Briefing consultants and contractors, negotiating appointments and shaping the project.
- ·Carrying out reviews and audits of schemes, including providing component data to the relevant team.
- ·To authorise works instructions within designated approval levels ensuring correct cost centre allocation, priority and appropriateness of works description, including the approval of variations in time and cost were necessary.
You will need:
- ·Level 5 qualifcation (e.g HND) in a related discipline such as Estate Management, Building Surveying, Construction, Engineering with 1 years’ relevant experience within a construction or maintenance environment
OR
- ·5 years’ relevant experience (within the last 8 years) within a construction or maintenance environment.
- ·Have an intermediate understanding in the use of IT/Microsoft Office.
Desirable criteria:
- ·Chartership e.g. RICS, APM or CIOB.
