Technical Project Management Lead

Location: Manchester

Contract length: 6 months initially

Salary: £450 to £500 per day outside IR35

The Role:

Investigo are currently seeking a Technical Project Management Lead with knowledge of the chemical engineering, and manufacturing processes. The chosen candidate will have previous experience in (preferably) the cosmetic or pharma liquid manufacturing industries.

This is a great opportunity to be involved in some brilliant changes across our client's business, bringing production in-house rather than outsourcing to third parties.

Responsibilities:

• Providing process development support and input into formulation strategies
• Supply Network Design projects
• Business Continuity Planning material supply issues, including qualification of alternate materials/vendors from bench to manufacturing
• Value Improvement projects driven by Regulatory changes
• Ongoing technical support for our manufacturing sites (troubleshooting, derogations, Out of Specs investigations/resolution)
• Develop technical learning plans using appropriate internal R&D and Supply Chain resources
• Determination and communication of risk and appropriate governance for decisions associated with these risks
• Creative problem solving to overcome technical issues in delivery and in the current business
• Troubleshooting and resolution of manufacturing plant issues using appropriate internal R&D and Supply Chain resources
• Clear communication of formulation and process development challenges, issues, and successes with senior management

Key Skills & Qualifications :

• Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry or related science subject
• Demonstrable experience of successful scale up strategies
• Clear understanding of product and process transformations and their impact on overall product performance (Consumer and Technical)
• Knowledge and experience of product and process technical qualification approaches including experimental design
• Ownership of the development of performance/consumer based product specifications
• Pilot Scale and Full Scale batch production experience
• Knowledge and understanding of key product characterisation techniques (analytical, micro, product structure/behaviour etc.)
• Experience of a variety of processing solutions
