RPS Water Technical is a team of Engineers, Modellers and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy development, to our Water Industry clients to support business planning and delivery. This is an evolving industry, providing challenges and opportunities which require innovation, dedication and team work to help us meet our clients’ needs.
About RPS Water Technical:
It’s an exciting time to be working for our UK Water business as workload in the water market really takes off. With a broad portfolio of long-term framework agreements in place, we are ideally placed to help our clients deliver on the challenges facing them over the coming years - whether that is reducing leakage, pollution and flooding, or improving the environment and levels of service to their customers.
Our Water business employs around 1000 highly skilled and motivated people working on projects for all of the water and sewerage companies across the UK, and most of the water-only companies. We deliver a full range of end to end water and wastewater services including data collection and analytics; modelling and risk analysis / optimisation; data visualisation and mapping; artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions; feasibility studies; outline and detailed design of capital solutions; and development of optimised, risk based, operational interventions.

What we are looking for:
A Project Manager is expected to be capable of successfully managing a project through the entire project lifecycle from Inception through to handover and closure by utilising the 4 key pillars of project management: PLAN, ORGANISE, LEAD & CONTROL.
- Meeting all responsibilities as outlined in the RPS HSE policy and management systems
- Adapts to the team and builds team spirit
- Represents RPS in a professional manner at all times
- Applies specialist and detailed expertise and compliance with RPS’s systems and processes
- Manages projects in accordance with RPS systems and processes and proactively manages and delivers projects in accordance with project budgets and timeframes
- Ability to identify project risks and manage those risks as required
- Proficient in the use of systems, tools, processes, and programmes necessary to manage their projects
- Developing ability to manage business relationships in a positive manner including the negotiation and successful resolution of contentious issues
- Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret and respond to management, operational and financial information, and trends at a project level
- Degree qualified in a Technical or Construction discipline is highly regarded, but not essential
- Certified as, or capable of achieving certification within 12 months of completing probation (APM)
- Full UK Drivers licence
