Project Manager – ERP Implementation
18 month FTC
We have partnered with a global manufacturing organisation in the search for an experienced IT Project Manager who has a background in delivering large scale ERP Implementations. This role requires a Project Manager who has excellent stakeholder management skills and can communicate the project deliverables to the wider team to ensure the project is delivered on time. You will be working with stakeholders of all levels and within a variety of different locations/regions, giving regular updates to the wider management team.
A background in SAP Implementations would be highly desirable, particularly PP & SD, however, this is not essential.
This role will be based predominantly out of the organisations head office in the Chester area but travel will be required to other sites in the UK. The general rule is a requirement to be onsite 3 days a week, but this will require flexibility due to the nature of the implementation project.
Role responsibilities:
Lead the implementation of SAP across the sites in the organisation while supporting the existing subsystems and dependencies, developing the current systems, implementing new developments, and proposing technological improvements.
A key aim of the role is to perform coordination and management of delivery of stakeholders to agreed tasks and timelines and act as the single focal point for all project related matters
Manage all stages of the life-cycle of an IT project, (drafting terms and conditions, analysis of bids / quotations, planning, functional analysis, technical analysis, programming, testing, documentation, training users, deployment, maintenance and evolution), monitoring them to ensure they are achieved by their respective deadlines and with the requisite quality
Supervise the team (business process analysts, functional analysts, technical analysts and programmers)
Process and provide response to the demands of the organization in respect of maintenance and evolution of the information systems
Assess new techniques and tools on the market, examining to what extent they would be viable and appropriate to the organization
Draft project monitoring reports
Accountable for the financial management, delivery and cost control across the project
Responsible for all reporting for the projects by maintaining active communication channels with the internal customers and key stakeholders across the division
Skills required:
Experience working within a global manufacturing environment
Proven experience with ERP Implementation projects
Excellent understanding of ERP systems – ideally SAP (PP & SD)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to manage stakeholders of all levels, across different locations/regions
