Harvey Nash’s public sector client are currently looking to recruit a Project Manager join their team based in Edinburgh for an initial 12 month period. This is a part time role for 2.5 days per week.
Assignment Description
The role of Project Manager – Estates Development will be responsible for Management and delivery of property projects working with key internal organisational stakeholders and external contractors. The role will oversee all aspects of property business case development and project delivery of physical and construction projects within the organisations built estate. The role will have accountability for ensuring that works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Customer relationship management is a key part of the role, to support current and emerging requirements within the organisation and be part of a team which delivers an excellent customer experience.
Main Duties
- Project Management of key projects across the organisations property estate as specified by the Senior management team.
- Creating and maintaining value for money in delivery in accordance with the organisations standards of practice and policy.
- Developing business cases for property investment and monitoring approved expenditure.
- Initiation, management and control of projects to completion in accordance with scope and in line with identified cost, quality and time parameters.
- Ensuring projects are delivered in compliance with the contract (NEC3 & 4) and corporate governance arrangements.
- Assisting colleagues as required in Project Management for delivery of projects.
- Managing professional services and consultants and liaising on technical property matters as required in delivery of projects.
Essential Skills:
- Experienced in property project development, management and delivery with industry recognised qualifications eg, RICS, RIBA, RIAS, CIOB, ICE, PMP, or PRINCE 2
