Your new role
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing a wide range of engineering projects from Inception to Closure. Projects include new fleet procurement, fleet enhancements and overhauls as well as engineering facility projects.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Manage Fleet Projects in line with agreed project parameters in terms of time, cost and quality.
- Develop and maintain project documentation for assigned projects.
- Support development of project Business Case.
- Develop and maintain project schedules.
- Manage all project contracts to ensure compliance in line with the contract terms by monitoring supplier performance through formal contract review processes and KPI measurement.
- Develop, engage and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders within the Engineering Division and also and externally to ensure the successful delivery of fleet engineering projects.
- Ensure that all Fleet Engineering suppliers provide vehicles or plant that are in line with the company specifications for safety, reliability and availability performance.
- Project delivery in accordance with relevant safety legislation, the group’s safety management systems and the avoidance of risk.
- Develop and maintain project Risk Registers and Issues Logs.
- Develop and maintain lessons learned log for each project.
- Prepare monthly project progress reports reporting on cost, quality, schedule, health and safety, risk etc.
What you\'ll need to succeed
- Experience of managing interfaces within an engineering environment
- Experience of managing engineering and Fleet Projects from inception to completion
- Experience of contract and financial management
- Qualified to Degree level or equivalent in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline with experience of managing engineering projects from inception to completion
- OR alternatively Qualified to HNC/HND level or equivalent in a mechanical or electrical discipline and experience of managing engineering projects from inception to completion
- Experience of project management methodologies and documentation
