We currently have a vacancy for a Project Officer to join our Adult Skills Team within Economy, Skills and Culture Directorate.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the Adult Skills Team who deliver programmes to support individuals with skills training across West Yorkshire. This opportunity involves being part of the Adult Skills team, and in the first instance working with the Multiply Team and be at the forefront of a programme focussed on innovation in training, removing barriers and negative attitudes to numeracy and increasing maths confidence for the adults of West Yorkshire.
In 2021 the £1.8bn devolution deal was secured for West Yorkshire. This meant the first Mayor of West Yorkshire was subsequently elected, with Tracy Brabin taking up post in May 2021. The devolution deal and election of the Mayor has enabled us to start to drive up living standards for local communities while tackling the climate emergency and helping to deliver our commitment to become a net zero carbon city region by 2038.

The Role:
Reporting into Multiply Project Lead your key responsibilities will include:
- To support the project management of the delegated UKSPF Multiply programme, held by the Adults Skills Team in accordance with recognised contract and project management methodology.
- To support procurement and contract management in line with the West Yorkshire objectives for Multiply
- To support the efficient and effective management of Multiply in line with funders targets.
- To ensure consistent approach to the completion of project management tools and reports.

- Experience of working in a role within a programme or project environment
- Working with stakeholders to gain information
- Highly organised and able to maintain, improve and develop services and systems.
- A team player who isn’t scared to take initiative, enjoys challenges and problem solving.
- Motivated to support the project to achieve and exceed performance and financial targets
