Job description

Summary ***Internal applications only, please***
The Project Support Analyst (known internally as the PPMO Analyst) will provide data and analysis capability to the Project and Programme Management Office (PPMO). You’ll lead the development and implementation of a range of data driven services, processes and outputs that will strengthen and empower expert delivery across the National Trusts project and programme portfolio.
This is an exciting time to be joining the wider Planning, Project and Programme Centre of Excellence (CoEx) team as we embark on significant steps to improve the way we do things – including implementation of a new software platform to modernise planning and project management, a new framework for programme management as well as exploring opportunities to take advantage of AI in the future.
This role is a part time permanent over 30hours. The Full Time Equivalent for this role is £35,724 with a Pro-Rata salary of £28,579.
What it's like to work here This CoEx sits in the Strategy Management Unit (SMU) directorate. Our team provides a service to the organisation and sets the direction for the future of planning, project and programme delivery.
We work across all areas of the organisation, building the confidence and capability of our people and fostering a passionate and professional community. Through our work we empower others to succeed.
Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust. Typically, your time would be split between our Head Office, working from National Trust locations across the UK and home or your local National Trust office.
What you'll be doing You’ll develop insight and analysis that will help us improve the way we deliver projects and programmes, the way we make decisions and the way we demonstrate our success.
You’ll do this by working closely with individuals and teams across the organisation, employing your knowledge and experience to help us develop changes that really have a positive impact.
You will be responsible for drafting concise and engaging papers that use data to inspire the organisation to learn and respond to the challenges of project and programme delivery.
You’ll have the autonomy to explore new avenues of analysis that we have not yet explored – bringing in ideas and best practice from outside the organisation.
Who we're looking for You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what is possible in this role.
For this position we’re looking for someone who has:
•A passion for project data and analysis – someone who enjoys getting into the detail. •Hands on experience in project or programme delivery •Extensive knowledge of waterfall, agile and iterative methods •Experience of implementing a PPM tool
