About The Role
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Coordinator to lead and oversee rail projects from inception to completion supporting the Head of Rail Projects. This role provides critical administrative support to the Rail sector, including supporting the Head of Rail Projects with the delivery and operation of the Sentinel scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and budget allocation, in collaboration with stakeholders and relevant teams.
Resource Management: Coordinate and allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal project execution and adherence to project plans.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct thorough inspections and quality checks at various project stages.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and relevant records. Prepare and present project status reports to senior management as required.
Requirements:
Interest in managing rail or transportation projects, demonstrating strong project management skills or willingness to grow these by working closely with our site and operations managers.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and engage stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management tools and software such as SharePoint and Excel for data capture.
Experience with the Sentinel scheme for suppliers to the Rail Industry (desirable)
Strong understanding of rail industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
