As a not-for-profit housing association, we provide homes and services to over 16,000 people across Greater Manchester. We build affordable new homes, work with partners to reduce homelessness and support people to reach their potential.
We currently have a full time role available at our supporting housing project at Morris Court in Fallowfield – the scheme supports people with enduring mental health to overcome these challenges, develop their independence, provides support to access employment and/or education. We are looking for someone who can challenge stigma and support people to overcome challenges they face in everyday life and also to support them to move on and maintain their own home within the community.
This role will help us to do this by providing monitoring and support in connection with tenants well-being and housing management needs.
The skills and experience you’ll need are:
Experience in a similar role - with young people or adults with enduring mental health.
knowledge of and work closely with other support services. And will have Ideally will have worked in a similar role, in an accommodation-based /tenancy support/ outreach / crisis management or community hub setting.
A great people person that can use a person centred approach to motivate scheme members to engage with support and make positive life choices that equips them with the knowledge and skills to move on to managing their homes effectively
We’ll also need someone who has:
excellent communication skills;
an understanding of professional boundaries and safeguarding;
experience of working in a fast-paced environment and able to meet deadlines;
strong organisational skills;
resilience and compassion, as you’ll work with people with complex needs;
