SalaryThis is a great opportunity to join the Development Team at Hertfordshire County Council and be a key part in the delivery of the County Council’s strategic Property Development programme. You will have experience of managing complex delivery focused programmes and be able to maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders including the council service departments whilst ensuring the delivery of a programme of projects to time, budget, and quality. The work is varied and covers everything from assisting with the procurement of delivery partners, the commissioning of capital work for council assets through the council’s Building Management team, seeking internal approvals to appointment of partners and supporting in the creation of legal agreements to deliver the outcomes.
The role also requires you to manage two project managers and provide support for the council’s relocation of staff from Hertford to Stevenage. A key objective in the role of Property Development Manager is to ensure the Property Development programme helps the council’s financial position. The work will be varied and require a professional approach ensuring the council’s time, money and quality commitments are successfully delivered. You will be part of the leadership of Development Team, contributing to the overall management and delivery of high-quality Property Services for the council. In return you will be supported and provided with relevant training. You will have access to a range of technology to enable you to work flexibly in order to manage demands on your time and location. Experience in progressing property related matters would be preferable, maybe as a surveyor or town planner.
