Property Manager - Block Manager

We’ve been asked by a fabulous boutique central London property management company to find an additional Block Manager whose experience of managing residential blocks hopefully includes some exposure of working with some high-quality London blocks in areas like Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster.

You’ll be handling a smaller portfolio than you would typically find at a larger managing agent so you’ll have time to provide a solid and professional service which is in keeping with their style. Your portfolio will be exclusively in the West End including Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea including some beautiful traditional small/medium mansion style blocks.

We are looking for someone with at least 2+ years’ experience of being a Block Manager, managing a residential block portfolio including dealing with the smooth running of a portfolio of residential buildings covering maintenance, repairs and service contracts, maintaining strong relationships with leaseholders and residents, experience working with budgets and overseeing expenditure as well as adherence to financial goals.

Responsibilities include:

• Looking after a portfolio of Central London residential blocks
• Maintenance of the communal areas
• Liaising with contractors re maintenance and major works
• Site visits to ensure buildings are in good order
• Overseeing on-site staff
• Knowledge of service charge budgets and managing expenditure

Skills required:

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience as a residential block Property Manager
• Good organisational, communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
• Good experience of section 20 process and major works
• Understanding of health and safety and fire regulation compliance
• Ability to work independently while being a team player
