Location: Suffolk 4 days a week working on prison site.

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) priorities include improving public safety and reducing reoffending by reforming prisons, probation, and youth justice, and building a justice system which makes access to justice swifter and more certain for all citizens whatever their background. Project professionals in the MoJ help to improve the government's ability to protect the public and reduce reoffending, and to provide a more effective, transparent, and responsive criminal justice system for victims and the public.

As a Property Operations Manager your main responsibilities will be:

• Manage issues (including requests for additional spend, elective new works and changes to scope or specification) to resolution and escalate to APOM/RPOM where necessary.
• Ensure that actions relating to inspections and audits are delivered through the contract.
• Engage through site visits, regular communication and running or attending client engagement meetings as appropriate.
• Understand the wider strategic needs and priorities of clients and how they are incorporated into plans and activities.
• Manage supplier issues and complaints to resolution, escalating to APOM/RPOM where necessary.
• Engage with the supply chain to ensure that contracts provide satisfactory delivery and to drive value for money in accordance with business targets.
• Conduct weekly interfaces with suppliers to escalate issues and scrutinise performance.

You'll have relevant experience in:

• You should have experience in property and facilities management disciplines and experience of developing close relationships with stakeholders and customers.
• Working towards or willing to work towards associate level membership of relevant professional body, e.g., IWFM Level 4 / 5 - Member, RICS FM Pathway or MRICS, with a preference if already held OR equivalent experience.
• Experience working with Team, SharePoint, Excel and PowerBI.
• Hold or be willing to work towards a IOSH or National Examination Board Occupational Safety Health - National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety qualification OR be willing to work towards it.
