Part time Family Support Worker - 3 days per week (21.75 hours) DAYS HAVE YET TO BE DETERMINED
£20.09 per hour PAYE / £25.00 per hour Umbrella

Previous Family Support experience required
Temporary position, 3 months with the view of extension
This is a unique and bespoke role for a worker to undertake the following:
* Support a social worker to complete visits to families and observations of children in a range of settings
* Support a social worker to record information on the child's file This will involve using the service's electronic system (Liquid Logic)
* The successful candidate will work 3 days a week when the social worker is working from the office (Days to be confirmed, candidate will be required to be flexible)
* The successful candidate will have knowledge of social work and the social work roles and responsibilities. Candidate will have experience of working with families and children.
* The successful candidate will have good IT literacy. The primary purpose of this role is to work with children and families alongside workers within Prevention & Intervention and other agencies to:
* Provide a broad range of services with the aim of supporting families by improving family relationships, improving parenting and breaking negative cycles.
* Promoting positive and healthy outcomes for children & young people.
* Ensuring safeguarding at all times.
Job Context:
1. The post holder reports to the Advanced Practitioner/ Senior Practitioner/ Practice Manager/Team Manager.
2. The post holder may have line management responsibility for staff supervisions according to their grade and current team.
3. The post holder will be required to occasionally work outside 'normal' office hours.
4. The post holder has responsibility for some resources and will accord with the requirements of the Council's financial framework.
Experience:
* Experience of working with children and families from a variety of backgrounds and developing and delivering effective provision in either the public or voluntary sector.
* Experience of effective partnership or cross sector, multi - agency work.
* Experience of working with families on practical parenting tasks and delivering parenting programmes.
* Experience of preparing reports and assessments in respect of children this may include presenting to Court
* Experience of contact work.
