Prospectus is delighted to supporting a UK charity in their search for a Public Affairs and Policy Manager. This is post is offered on a 1-year FTC, fulltime and mostly onsite with some hybrid working.
The Public Affairs and Policy Manager will play a vital role in shaping the organisations policy goals, and how they can achieve them. The postholder will work closely throughout the organisation and with external stakeholders to develop policy, research, and campaigning projects that support the organisations strategic goals. The new Public Affairs and Policy Manager will strengthen and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including politicians, and civil servants, communicating with these groups to influence change.
To be successful, you will have experience of campaigning at a national or local level, including working directly with senior stakeholders in government. You will have a proven ability to manage projects, including experience running research projects with a variety of methods. You have an ability, and experience to develop, analyse and influence policy, including the creation of policy recommendations. You will be an excellent communicator and someone able to influence change for marginalised and vulnerable communities.
