The Doncaster Growing Together Borough Strategy has set out to change the way that public services deliver community support. Our ambitions are being realised through our inclusion in two national programmes which will test place-based, community-led health and well-being approaches across Doncaster.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for improving Public Health and wellbeing to join our Well Doncaster community Led Health and Wealth team. The team are leading a whole systems approach to tackling inactivity and addressing inequalities in participation across Doncaster. We are looking for an Individual who is experienced in Community Development, who can demonstrate a working knowledge of implementing community based Public Health approaches and has excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Asset Based Community Development and key partners would also be beneficial.

Through our status as a Sport England Local Delivery Pilot (LDP), we are working in close partnership with the Get Doncaster Moving team to test innovative solutions to tackling inactivity in our communities. The link between health and physical activity has a strong evidence base and the successful candidate will be at the forefront of our Active Communities themed work, by developing sustainable and innovative approaches to improve health outcomes in communities.
