Public Health Manager (Food and Health)
Grade: PO5
As a key member of the Public Health and Wellbeing Team, the postholder will provide strategic leadership around food policy with a specific focus on food insecurity. The postholder will be required to lead and manage multi-agency strategic partnerships, work across the council with different directorates and develop sub-regional and regional relationships. They will develop and implement a cross borough food strategy, be responsible for commissioning services which will help to alleviate food insecurity and contribute to the wider Food and Health agenda. The post-holder will work across the ‘life-course’.
The post-holder will be expected to work autonomously on a number of strategically important programmes. They will have an up to date knowledge across all aspects of food policy including food insecurity, food environment, good food retail, food insecurity and Public Health nutrition.
The postholder will report to the Senior Public Health Manager (Food and Health) but will be a pivotal member of cross directorate working groups.
