My client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team and support them with the processing and control of all purchase invoices, payments, reconciliations, and other accounting tasks.

As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all purchase invoices, control and payment of invoices for the group, working as an integrated part of the Accounts team, liaising and supporting internal and external stakeholders with key information.

Your main duties will include:

• Control and filing of all purchase orders
• Match purchase invoices to purchase orders
• Coding of all purchase invoices
• Process monthly payment runs and mid-month payment runs
• Reconcile Purchase Ledger/sub-contractor statements from suppliers monthly
• Assist with preparation for the end of year audit
• Sub – Contractor invoices daily posting
• Provide weekly & monthly Bank Reconciliations
• Inter Company Reconciliations monthly
• Update Fixed Assets spreadsheet & Depreciation Journals monthly

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Ideally AAT Level 3 or equivalent qualification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience in using accounting software, preferably Sage 50
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work without close supervision and reach tight deadlines, both alone and part of the wider team
• Presentable and confident with good team working skills
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude
