We are recruiting for an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our Head Office Finance Team in Measham, Swadlincote. You’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the already high standards of this family-run business.

As a family-owned company, we are one of the biggest and most successful UK housebuilders, and we’re always looking for new talent. We need a Purchase Ledger Assistant with five good GCSEs (at least Grade C or equivalent, including Maths & English) and good written, computer and ‘people’ skills.
MAIN DUTIES:
Receive invoices and delivery notes and scan into Purchase Ledger system.
Index invoices and delivery notes.
Liaise with regions regarding ‘quick’ payments.
Liaise with suppliers re invoice queries, payments, credit notes and outstanding delivery notes.
KEY ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS:
Excel, Word, Outlook
Microsoft Navision/Dynamics accounting package
Experience of the house-building/construction sector (beneficial)
CIS
Retentions
VAT restrictions for new build housing
Costing of invoices to plot level
Good communication skills, written and spoken
Strong organisational skills
Self-starter
Problem solving skills
