Purchase Ledger - Part-time
This amazing opportunity is for a part-time, permanent Purchase Ledger Assistant, based in Brentwood. This established and privately owned company has been dominating its industry for over 30 years and has developed a large product catalogue that they are very proud to provide.
To be successful for this position you must ideally have 2-3 years' experience within a similar finance role and experience with accounting and ERP systems, ideally Sage 200. This company do not look for someone to tick every box but if you have good experience coupled with the right attitude for learning then let us tell you more!
Duties will include but not be limited to:
* Managing all Purchase Ledger processes including reconciling supplier invoices to the PO
* Querying & resolving any differences and processing supplier invoices on Sage 200
* Entering bank transactions on to Sage 200 and ensuring all bank reconciliations for GBP and Euro accounts are completed by the deadline
* Setting up bank payments as required
* Producing the necessary month end journals and updating the Fixed Asset Register
* Ensuring all supplier invoices are processed with the correct tax code in accordance with PVA rules
* Manage credit card transactions and staff expenses; ensuring VAT receipts are supplied, setting up bank payments, processing, and reconciling monthly
* Request and reconcile supplier statements and update the aged creditors report monthly
* Ensure all Purchase Ledger tasks are completed accurately by the month end deadline and support the Finance Manager with the production of the monthly management accounts

The part-time hours are Monday to Friday working either 10am-4pm 10am-4:30 or 10am-5pm depending on the candidate requirements.
