Due to expansion and growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Assistant to join our company on a permanent basis. Working in a busy environment. Supporting our Purchasing, sales, production and warehouse administration.
Key role:
· Liaising with suppliers to ensure prompt delivery of goods
· Booking in goods and controlling stock in warehouses
· Inputting for supplier invoices, checking supplier statements.
· Manage day to day purchase orders and monitoring outstanding orders
· Creating import documentation for customs clearance.
· Assist warehouse despatches with customer and supplier returns and non-conforming goods
· Support wider team with all aspects of administration as and when required
Key skills:
· Purchasing experience or relevant business qualification
· Excellent MS Office/Computer skills
· Good written and verbal communication
· Ability to manage multiple tasks
· Highly organised with strong time management and excellent attention to detail
· Good team player but also able to work on own initiative
· The ability to work quickly and accurately and to tight timeframes
· Good level of numeracy is essential
