Purchasing Coordinator / Buyer

A leading FMCG/distribution business require a Purchasing Coordinator/Buyer. Applicants need experience within a commercial, office, B2B or purchasing/supply chain environment and have strong administration and organisational skills.

The Purchasing Coordinator/Buyer will join a team of Buyers and be responsible for a range of purchasing, supplier liaison, logistics and stock control tasks.

Specific duties of the Purchasing Coordinator/Buyer include:

• Place purchase orders with suppliers, track progress and expedite deliveries
• Manage supplier orderbooks
• Collaborate with colleagues in Sales
• Liaise with 3PLs and freight forwarders in regards to stock movements and logistics
• Monitor stock levels
• Resolve supplier queries and delivery issues
• Monitor the purchasing inbox

Purchasing Coordinator/Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:

• IT skills and experience with MS Office packages (MS Excel)
• Procurement, Supply Chain or Logistics experience
• Outgoing, confident manner
• An understanding of how operations function in a small business
• Comfortable working 5 days onsite in Southampton
