A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Manager to join an established and successful organisation based in the York area. In return the successful Purchasing Manager will be part of a business that continues to go from strength to strength.
As the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Responsible for the provision of a professional purchasing function
- Accountable for formulating purchasing strategies with the Operations Director
- Developing and managing supplier performances & relationships
- Manage, lead and develop the Buyer
- Establishing and managing purchasing systems & service level agreements
The ideal candidate will have experience of leading a purchasing function, ideally within a fast paced environment. Experience of MRP operating systems and a knowledge of procurement of packaging components and raw materials would also be beneficial. You should ideally be CIPS qualified or have equivalent experience. You should also be highly organised, results focused and have the ability to challenge and influence individuals and processes.
This role offers a salary £45,000 - £47,000 and excellent benefits, and the business is commutable from York, Thirsk, Selby, Malton, and surrounding areas.
