Salary: 35,000 - 50,000 (depending on experience)
Our client, a growing company distributing work wear and safety items into some fascinating industries including Formula 1 and the Fire Service, is looking for a Purchasing Manager to join their team. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for sourcing, selecting, and purchasing high-quality garments.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Purchasing and sourcing of products for the company.
Ensuring that the products are of high quality and meet the company's standards.
Managing inventory levels and adjusting to trends.
Contacting suppliers and negotiate prices and delivery times.
Researching and developing new suppliers.
Placing purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Dealing with returns of products to suppliers.
Resolving any product issues.
Maintaining accurate records of all purchases and inventory.
Tracking shipments and resolve any delivery issues.
Communicating with internal departments to ensure that all orders are fulfilled correctly.
Managing the Purchasing Executive.
Producing relevant reports and forecasting.
Staying up to date with the latest trends and developments in the garment industry.
Skills, Experience & Key Candidate Attributes:
Experience in garment purchasing, preferably in the work wear or fashion industry.
CIPS Level 4.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Excellent IT skills.
