Description
- Manage and oversee the procurement team to support 4 sites across the UK. The will include developing the buyers, ideally creating a success plan
- In line with site a UK objectives, develop strategic plans for improved productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain supplier relationships and negotiate contracts, driving YOY value
- Ensure compliance with company and industry regulations.
- Take ownership over supplier data and manage SAP systems.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Analyse and report on supply chain and procurement performance at a plant and UK level, raising the profile of the team
Profile
A successful Purchasing Manager should have:
- Ideally be CIPS (or working towards) with a proven track record in fast paced manufacturing (Automotive or CEM)
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in SAP.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong strategic planning abilities.
- Excellent negotiation skills and a good understanding of supply chain processes, and how to drive value (VA/VE, material management benefits, efficient transaction costs)
- Proven managing a broad spend portfolio (direct & indirect)
