The company you will be working for is going through a strong period of growth and you will form part of a growing team to provide purchasing input.THE ROLECoordinating and processing internal requests for purchase ordersSending purchase orders to suppliers and liaising on their fulfilmentTracking the status of orders and chasing outstanding orders with suppliers to meet required deadlinesLiaising with Finance team to ensure invoices are obtained and processed for payment or referenceArrange transportation of materials and expediting deliveries with couriers as requiredProcessing queries and any rejected materialsBuilding relationships with existing and new suppliersKeep relevant data up to date within the production planning & inventory control system (Avsight)Perform any additional duties or tasks as directed by the Planning & Records SupervisorActively support and promote a positive safety learning culture through the reporting of occurrences and potential hazards and by adopting continuous improvement and human factors principles with their workTHE PERSONPrevious experience in a purchasing role.
