AddressWe are looking for a QA, Health & Safety and Technical Compliance Assistant to support the growth of the business and contribute towards further accreditation, whilst securing our existing procedures.
This position will also support the Buying Manager, carrying out routine purchasing & import administration tasks which ensure the steady flow of products through the business.
The candidate can expect to spend time on the shop, market & warehouse floors, working alongside managers assessing & implementing procedures, as well as administrative time in the office.
The candidate will be charged with the following tasks:
QA
- Maintaining & developing the company-wide QA, Health & Safety and Technical Compliance programs in line with business activity & growth.
- Training & enforcing the QA, Health & Safety and Technical Compliance programs’ enactment across the company to compulsory standards.
- Ensuring the company’s successful pass rate on all internal & external audits.
- Communicating with the Company Director to update on progress & feedback.
Buying
- Supporting the Buyer, placing and processing purchase orders.
- Supporting the Buyer, fulfilling import & export requirements, liaising with suppliers, government bodies & transporters.
- Supporting the Buyer, working on stock rotation & wastage management.
Skills & Experience needed:
- Previous experience in QA, Health & Safety and Technical Compliance in the food industry.
- Previous experience in a Buying capacity.
- High standard of written & spoken French.
- Entitled to work in the UK without work permit sponsorship.
One year minimum commitment & weekend availability
