Qualified Accountant Team Manager
We are looking for an ambitious, motivated individual with a strong blend of financial expertise, leadership and influencing skills to provide financial advice and support to services across Warwickshire County Council.
You will hold a role of responsibility and will be managing a high performing team comprising of Accountants and Finance Officers, who provide revenue and capital financial support to budget and project managers across the Council.
You will play a key part in the successful management, reporting, planning and analysis of financial information. You will be experienced in forecasting, modelling and analysis including identifying potential risks and opportunities.
You will have the skills to financially evaluate tender applications, undertake scenario modelling for option appraisals, and identify the financial implications arising from reports, business cases and projects.
You will be able to confidentially prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior managers, highlighting trends and areas requiring attention. You will also provide managers with insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
We are looking for a fully qualified CCAB Accountant with the following skills:
- Demonstrable people management or supervisory capabilities
- Strong customer focus with the ability to listen and empathise
- Sound judgement with the confidence to make significant decisions
- Proven ability to deliver against a range of conflicting demands
- Competent in analysing and investigating complex data and presenting this in a simplified, understandable way to non-financial colleagues
We work in an agile, flexible way and will consider applications for employment on a part-time (min 30 hours) or full-time (37 hours) basis.
