Quality Assurance Engineer - London (Remote) - GBP £55,000 - £80,000 DOE

A new and exciting position has recently become live with a leading Web 3.0 startup in the digital identity and blockchain industry.

They are searching for a passionate Automation Quality Assurance Engineer to join their development team on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about open-source software, blockchain technology, decentralised finance (DeFi), and self-sovereign identity (SSI).

As a key member of their team , you will aid in the development process across multiple facets of their product suite along with their associated RESTful APIs.

This position requires active participation in open-source initiatives and effective communication with developers within the ecosystem.

This is a fully remote position that will allow you to work anywhere within the UK, although the core team is based in London. You will need to live and have the full right to work in the UK!

Essential Skills:
* 2-4 years of Playwright experience, with proficiency in Jest, Puppeteer, Cypress, or Selenium. They should excel in end-to-end web app testing.
* Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills required, plus Linux shell scripting. Familiarity with system languages like Go, Rust, C, or C++ is a plus.
* Experience integrating tests into GitHub Actions or similar tools is essential.
* Strong background in QA methodologies, including test planning, defect tracking, and regression testing.
* Experience in automated cross-browser compatibility testing preferred.
* Ability to troubleshoot and debug testing scripts and configurations.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working closely with dev, product, and QA teams.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development in QA and automated testing.

Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain Playwright-based automated test cases for web application features.
* Collaborate with teams to translate product features into detailed test plans.
* Set up and manage testing environments, integrating Playwright with CI/CD pipelines.
* Use Playwright for performance and load testing to ensure application performance.
* Conduct comprehensive API testing, including third-party integration and security assessments.
* Execute tests across browsers and platforms for compatibility.
* Develop and monitor QA metrics to measure testing effectiveness.
* Advocate for QA best practices and update test cases accordingly.
* Work with teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
* Maintain thorough documentation of test cases and results.
* Stay updated with testing tools and methodologies for skill enhancement.
