About the job
The QA department is responsible for ensuring that all data has been removed from assets, as well as checking for data media and failed hard drives to ensure that assets are data free.
What we expect from you
- Checking for data media inside units (SD cards, sim cards, USB’s, etc.)
- Correctly identify manufacturer information, brand and model numbers and manufacturer serial numbers
- Verify Global ID numbers match the current job record being entered
- Provide software data wiping and produce test records of full items specification
- Wrapping/ stacking pallets
- Locating pallets in the racking
- Using Hand Held Terminal
- Assigning assets to batches
- Checking erasure reports
- Assisting other departments in locating missing stock
- Proactive attitude to solving faults/problems
- Proactive attitude to help create more efficient ways to current solutions in place
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
Who are we looking for
- General Windows operating system and office products knowledge, including data entry necessary to record the work performed
- Good communication skills to liase with other departments
- Attention to detail necessary to consistently maintain quality standards
- Ability to recognise a wide variety of data-bearing devices
- Previous experience using data erasure tools necessary for wiping data from a variety of devices
- Ability to read, understand and uphold policies and procedures
- Willingness to flex into other job roles from time-to-time as production demands dictate
