JOB DESCRIPTION: QUALITY ENGINEER
RESPONSIBLE TO: PRODUCTION MANAGER
Salary: 33 - 35k
Hours are 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am to 12:30pm Friday.
Holiday is 25 days plus Bank holidays
Overtime is at x1.5 when required

Our Client based in Milton Keynes are recruiting for a Quality Engineer.
Quality Engineer Main Responsibilities
- Responsibility for subcontract machining quality
- Working with Production Manager, ensure quality standards are achieved and maintained
- Work with Production Manager to understand scheduled work to ensure customer delivery / quality dates are met (replacements where needed)
- Liaising between customer and production, ensure quality of work is maintained
- Hold regular meetings with Production Manager, Progress Coordinator and Inspection
- Work with the Engineering Buyer to keep purchases aligned with quality
- Ensure calibration and calibration records are kept up to date
- Responsible for Quality Department paper work; completion / collation / documentation and resolution, working with Production Manager and Inspection Team to implement and complete
- First point of contact for sub contract machining customer accounts regarding quality
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, visiting customers where required
- Work closely with customers on key performance quality and elements of on-time delivery
- Lead regular customer performance reviews
- Key involvement in supplier and customer audits
- Using the production management system (PSL), drive performance through data and reports
- Prepare regular reports on the progress of projects and customer accounts as required
- Recognise capacities and capabilities with a view to making a difference
- Work with all functions to reduce risks and drive product and service right first time
- Propose budgets for projects related to quality and follow through to completion
- Work within a detailed ISO 9001 Quality Management System
- Ensure compliance to ISO 9001 and customer standards (internal and external)
- Be involved with ISO 9001 audits
- Carry out any other ad hoc duties as required
- Take part in training provided
