An innovative engineering company in Belfast who are currently manufacturing machinery for the mining industry. Due to a ramp up in manufacturing they have a requirement for a Quality Inspector to join the team.
Your new role
As Quality Inspector you will be required to perform thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure adherence to quality specifications and standards. Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments. Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspection results, deviations, and non-conformances. Generate inspection reports and documentation for compliance purposes. Work closely with production teams to address quality concerns, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues. Investigate and identify root causes of quality issues and work proactively to implement corrective and preventive actions. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality performance. Ensure products meet regulatory requirements and industry standards. Stay informed about changes in quality standards and implement necessary updates to quality control processes. Provide training to production personnel on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices. Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement. Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment within the quality assurance department. Report any safety concerns promptly to the Workshop Manager.
What you\'ll need to succeed
Ideally we would like to see candidates with a High school diploma or equivalent, additional technical or quality-related certifications or come with practical experience in quality control. Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Inspector/Engineer in a manufacturing setting is required. You will have a strong understanding of quality control principles and inspection methodologies and be proficient in using precision measuring tools and equipment. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
