Welcome to Taylor Whitmore,

We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our client's growing team as a Quality Inspector. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing production activities during their shift, ensuring quality standards are met, and facilitating smooth operations. Previous experience as a Quality Inspector is desirable

This position is a temp to permanent basis, after 12 successful weeks of probation our client look to offer a permanent contract. Your working hours will be Monday-Thursday 10:00pm-08:00am and Friday 10:00pm-06:00am with a pay rate of £12.50ph.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the production carried out on shift, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards
  • complete daily quality reports to track production metrics and identify areas for improvement
  • ensure operators are briefed on job specifications, including customer requirements such as assembly procedures, batch numbers and packaging standards
  • conduct regular checks on work performed by operators to maintain quality control
  • compare product quality against master samples to identify deviations and take corrective actions as necessary
  • report any quality issues or high reject rates to the shift supervisor promptly
  • follow hold/ quarantine procedures for defective parts to prevent their distribution
  • seal and stamp boxes as part of quality control patrols
  • produce necessary documents and labels for operators to facilitate smooth operations
  • produce samples accoridng to customer requirmets for evaluations purposes
  • remove finished goods from the shop floor to maintain cleanliness and organisation
  • ensure compliance with personal protective equipment requirements through the shift

Requirements:

  • previous experience as a Quality Inspector is desirable but not essential, two weeks of training on the day shift will be provided before transition to the Night shift
  • proficiency in written and spoken English is essential to effectively communicate and document quality issues
  • own transport is required to ensure punctuality for shift work
