Who You'll Be Working For:Our client is currently searching for a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.The People You'll Be Working With:As a QS /Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will collaborate with a talented and diverse team of professionals, including project managers and construction specialists.What You'll Be Asked to Achieve:You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of Quantity Surveying for civil projects. The primary goal is to ensure accurate cost estimation, effective cost control, optimal financial management, and successful project outcomes. Key responsibilities include contract negotiations, risk management, and strategic decision-making.In Order to Fulfill This, You Will Be Required To:Conduct detailed cost analysis, prepare accurate estimates, and develop comprehensive cost plans for civil projects. Review and validate cost estimates prepared.Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions specific to the industry. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements applicable to projects.Implement robust cost control measures, monitor project expenditures, and proactively identify cost-saving opportunities within the context of projects. Analyze project budgets, track variances, and provide timely reports to senior management.Analyze risk factors, assess variations and change orders, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management to mitigate risks and enhance project profitability.Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and budget management tailored to the specific requirements of projects. Review and approve financial documents, including payment certifications and valuations, with a focus on practices.Utilize advanced Quantity Surveying software and tools tailored for civil projects to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and maintain accurate project records .This Role Would Suit Someone With:A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Additional certifications or professional qualifications are highly desirable.
Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a proven track record of managing complex construction projects. Prior experience in a senior or leadership role is preferred.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively mentor and guide junior Quantity Surveyors. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Expertise in cost estimation, cost control, contract negotiation, financial management, and risk assessment.
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry regulations.
