Quantity Surveyor

We require a self-motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our small team as we embark on exciting high net worth building projects in Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas. 
As a niche building contractor, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship and building lasting relationships with our clients and supply chain. 
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Quantity Surveyor, looking to make a significant impact and grow their career in the construction industry. In the fullness of time, we expect the role to advance to running a small team. 
Role: Quantity Surveyor  
Location: Marlow, Buckinghamshire – Office based mainly with agile working.
Responsibilities: 

• Prepare and manage project budgets, estimates, and cost plans.
• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and produce accurate bills of quantities.
• Procure materials and equipment required for construction projects.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process.
• Prepare and negotiate subcontract agreements.
• Conduct weekly site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Collaborate with suppliers, contractors and clients to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Attend meetings as required to provide updates and contribute to project discussions.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of quantity surveying techniques, measurement, and cost management
• Excellent understanding of construction contracts and procurement methods
• Ability to work independently/remotely and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Valid driver's license for site visits
