Role: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Marlow, Buckinghamshire – Office based mainly with agile working.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, estimates, and cost plans.
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and produce accurate bills of quantities.
- Procure materials and equipment required for construction projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process.
- Prepare and negotiate subcontract agreements.
- Conduct weekly site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with suppliers, contractors and clients to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Attend meetings as required to provide updates and contribute to project discussions.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of quantity surveying techniques, measurement, and cost management
- Excellent understanding of construction contracts and procurement methods
- Ability to work independently/remotely and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Valid driver's license for site visits
