Quantity Surveyor

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a rapidly growing group of businesses within the construction and mechanical services industry. This role will be supporting 3 business entities, with projects and contracts across London and surrounding Home Counties.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of construction/mechanical projects by providing accurate cost estimates, monitoring project costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Your expertise in cost control will contribute to the overall success of the projects.

Key Duties
- Prepare and review cost estimates and budgets for construction/mechanical projects
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and prepare bills of quantities
- Analyse project specifications and drawings to determine project requirements
- Collaborate with project teams to develop cost-effective solutions
- Monitor project costs and provide regular cost reports to stakeholders
- Identify and evaluate potential cost-saving opportunities
- Review contractor bids and proposals for accuracy and completeness
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with specifications

Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the building services/construction/mechanical industry
- Strong knowledge of cost control principles and techniques
- Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
