SalaryI'm currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to work on a highways scheme in Bromsgrove.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates and budgets for the highways scheme.
- Conduct thorough cost analysis and value engineering exercises to optimise project costs.
- Manage subcontractor agreements, including procurement, negotiation, and contract administration.
- Monitor project expenditure and provide regular financial reports to the project team.
- Evaluate variations and change orders, ensuring that they are properly documented and priced.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve commercial disputes and claims in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of project costs and expenditure for reporting and auditing purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and procurement strategies as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on highways or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control techniques.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard quantity surveying software
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and project team members.
- Strong user of NEC4 and CEMAR
