Trainee / Graduate Quantity Surveyor

L. Healy Ltd specialises in Groundworks and Civil Engineering for residential developments in the Midlands. We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Trainee or Graduate Quantity Surveyors. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to kickstart their career in this field with a dedicated and supportive team.

Role Overview:

• The role will provide access to a dedicated workforce to enhance your skills and understanding of quantity surveying within the context of groundworks and civil engineering for residential developments.
• No previous experience is required, but candidates must possess good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Trainees will be sponsored to attend university one day a week, with the remaining four days spent working in the office and on-site, applying classroom knowledge to real-world situations.

General Requirements of Quantity Surveyor:

• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as Microsoft Excel and project management tools.
• Understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management principles.

Requirements:

• For Trainee: Three Grade C or above in A-Levels or equivalent qualifications. Additionally, candidates must hold a valid UK driving license.
• For Graduate: A minimum of a 2:1 or above in BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying and must hold valid UK driving licence.
