SalaryOur Client are a specialist contractor, operating as principle contractor and sub - contractors at times.
Located close to the Western M25 located close to great transport links into and out of London as well as very well situated for people traveling from the North, South & West.
Turnover circa GBP80M Per Annum.
One of the leading companies in their field.
They are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join the business, based out of their office located close to the Western stretch of M25 and walking distance from good train links. Someone who is looking to grow and progress their career, moving into a management role where they will head up the Commercial Department.
Site visits will be obviously be part of the role.
Projects can be in various parts of the country, typically the South and Midlands area.
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining upon client relationships.
- Client Valuations. Preparation of applications.
- Identify and value client change requests.
- Serve contract notices to client in accordance with the contract, and customer /
company policy - Sub-Contractor Procurement. Tendering process and negotiations. Placing Orders
and contracts. - Subcontractor variations and valuations. Assessment of applications and PN s.
- Subcontractor payments, variations, and final accounts.
- Ongoing liaison with site team, subcontractors, and Customers representatives
- Project Reporting. Reporting to Senior staff.
- Compiling Monthly CVR Reports and commercial risk report and cost forecast.
Requirements
- Academic level of thinking and working,
- 2 - 3 years of relevant QS construction experience, including JCT management
- Knowledge and understanding of construction execution.
- Ability to manage contracts, calculations, and budgets
- Positive, Self-assured and motivated
- Productive, flexible and eager to learn
