Quarry Maintenance Supervisor in Haverfordwest. 

• Starting salary negotiable pending experience. 
• Working hours from 7:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday with 30 minute lunch.

Our client, one of Wales’ largest independent suppliers of aggregates/civil engineering, are currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Supervisor to be responsible for the day-to-day management of maintenance activities and workshop staff at one of their quarry's in Haverfordwest.
Reporting to the Quarry Manager, as a Maintenance Supervisor the successful candidate will ensure that Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) requirements and inspection targets are met whilst driving and instilling a culture of continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will:

• Manage and develop direct reports to enable the team to identify and resolve issues.
• Be comfortable with managing a team of 7 direct reports and maintenance contractors.
• Use data to identify trends and then take appropriate action to make business improvements.
• Run efficient and cost-effective maintenance processes.
• Ensure compliance with company and statutory health & safety policies and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with planning constraints and liaise with appropriate statutory bodies, as required.

To be eligible you will need to live within a reasonable commuting distance of Haverfordwest. You will have previous experience working at a supervisory level in similar civil engineering/commercial environment, have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plant/Machinery Maintenance, and hold or be working to or willing to work towards acquiring IOSH Managing Safely training. If you hold an appropriate professional qualification with the Institute of Quarrying, have a Level 4 Diploma in Safety, Health and Environmental Management in Mineral Products Operations, or are a first aider this would be highly beneficial but it is non-essential. Overall you will need to be a committed individual and a good team player who can ensure a safe and successful working environment.
