Job title: R&D Assistant
Job type: Temporary - Ongoing
Location: Coleford, GL16
Pay rate: £10.42 per hour
Working days: Monday to Thursday (22.5 hours)
3 days per week (flexible)
Shifts: 08:30 - 17:00
Start date: Immediate
*Full training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
To provide support for R&D department including:
- Handling drink samples on store for stability testing including labeling, moving to appropriate storage location and disposal at end of test life as required.
- Weekly collection of samples for analytical testing and sensory assessment.
- Pack and label drink samples for external analysis and arranging transport to external contractors.
- Tidying and organizing of the R&D storage areas and disposal of packaging waste .
- Collecting samples from blends or factory lines to support NPD activities.
- Sourcing waste containers for HPLC Waste, cleaning containers, labeling containers and transport of waste on site for disposal.
- Collection of deliveries from goods in or reception, including some large boxes.
- Stock control of boxes, packaging materials and other consumables.
- Assisting with pilot plant trials, loading empty bottles and labeling.
Skills required:
- Proficient in basic MS Office packages such as Excel, Word & Outlook
- Good communication skills
- Proactivity and enthusiasm essential
- Manual handling is a part of this role
- Be happy to work alone and as a part of the team
- Methodical worker with an eye for detail
- An ability to work to tight deadlines and with a degree of autonomy
