Reed is seeking an Office Host to deliver a premium experience within our office environment. This role is pivotal in supporting colleagues and providing hospitality to guests, actively encouraging the maintenance and development of the clients’ culture and standards. The ideal candidate will be the face of the company, ensuring a warm welcome and a positive, supportive, and respectful environment for everyone.
Day to Day of the role:- Serve as an ambassador, providing a warm welcome to all guests, offering refreshments, and ensuring their comfort.
- Maintain a tidy working environment, adhering to a clear desk policy, and managing stock levels of consumables and stationery.
- Coordinate with the Hospitality team for the smooth running of events and lunches.
- Set up meeting rooms with necessary refreshments and ensure they are maintained throughout meetings.
- Handle incoming and outgoing post and parcels efficiently.
- Welcome new joiners by orientating them around the office, making introductions, and assisting with initial IT setup.
- Conduct regular floor walks to ensure printers and other office equipment are fully stocked and operational.
- Perform general housekeeping duties throughout the office.
- Liaise with the central Office Services team to support colleagues with operational issues.
- Act as the primary operational support within the office for a variety of tasks.
- Host local events and manage the presentation of food and beverages.
- Report maintenance needs and oversee contractors.
- Represent all other Business Services teams locally.
- Undertake stock checks and provide reports to the central team.
- Presentable and personable with strict adherence to the dress code; position is uniformed.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to accommodate early starts or later finishes for events.
- IT literacy, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- A willingness to go above and beyond in the role.
